Sunsets may signify the end of a long tiring day but mark a day full of achievement and productivity.
This week’s #SnapAndPonder describes a photo taken last October 23, 2016 while I was on P/Y Jokai 1 Yacht Cruise.
I was invited by a fellow yet an awesome blogger, theLittleLai, to come for chasing sunsets with Jokai Yacht Cruise along with other bloggers – Wanderlicious and D’yan ka lang. I was skeptical at first because I just arrived from my hometown, Iligan City, that morning and I have to prepare for the event that happened on that afternoon. Fortunately, I was able to cope up and had a great time!
While cruising, the skies were burning yet ironically undeniably stunning and jaw-dropping as the sun bid goodbye. Goodbyes may be sorrowful but this one is the contrast. Instead, you will feel grateful for the life and blessing you have and the things you have done for that day.
Were you able to do what you want to do and able to express yourself? Were you able to pursue your goal like you chase the sunset?
I came to ponder that the sun symbolizes your dreams and aspirations. They may fade away as Mr. Sun says goodbye but the courage and perseverance are always there to get through the night and hope for a brand new day on chasing another chance to reach them.
Why I’d bother to ask? Is it good to have these dreams and aspirations? Do I have to have goals? Goals may be short-term or long-term, but do I really have to have them?
I remember a quote from my college days as it says that “The best car in the world will not take you to the right place if you do not know where to go.” I may sound absurd but I find it to be true. I believe in goals because even though how expert you are yet you don’t have them, all the efforts and being genuine will be gone into waste. You might end up with the worse and that’s sad.
There may be times you get lost from the path to your ultimate goals – problems, challenges and unanswered questions in life. I know these are just spices to have a sweeter and fruitful celebration when you reach your goals.
I may be currently in limbo where I don’t know where to go, but I’m pretty sure rediscovering myself to the path I once wished upon when I was a kid.
Don’t get sad and frustrated, continue chasing sunsets and be motivated! 🙂
What about you? What are your goals and how do you chase them?
Words of gratitude to theLittleLai and Jokai Marine International, Inc. for the opportunity for a special chasing sunsets for this week’s #SnapAndPonder. And to Ma’am Jannette Clasen Amahit for the invite to theLittleLai who invited me also. 🙂
